Founded in 2013, Cookapp allows easy access to meeting new people in a casual setting by booking a meal at the home of a nearby chef. Founded by Diego Fejgelis, Pedro Rivas, Tomas Bermudez, Magdalena Bermudez and Carlos Eduardo Jerez, everyone now has the opportunity to enjoy interesting and fun interactions whilst indulging in top notch food – it’s like “Come dine with me” but without the camera crew! |

Seemingly somewhat too good to be true, the world’s first artificial intelligence personal robot, Robotbase was founded in 2014 by Duy Huynh and has raised $250k. Capable of combining the functions of all of your connected devices and much more, Robotbase attempts to make modern day life a little less stressful with the help of one’s own personal assistant, with a surprisingly affordable price tag! |

Founded in May 2014 by Oscar Salazar, Gaspard de Dreuzy and Philip Eytan, Pager is a welcome alternative to long wait times in overcrowded emergency rooms as old fashioned house calls are reintroduced. At the push of a button, a board-certified doctor is sent out to treat urgent care needs. With $24.4M raised, Pager seems to be a much anticipated medical move. |

Founded in 2014 by Karim Atiyeh and Eric Glyman, Paribus does all the work when it comes to actually claiming back refunds from the stores that offer to price match. However, since neither you nor them tend to follow through and keep track of price drops, stores have managed to get away with not paying …not anymore thanks to Paribus! |
We know, we know, we’ve barely scratched the surface of the New York startup scene. Tell us what you’re up to and who we missed for this list!
