Founded in 2010 by Brad McNamara (CEO) and Jon Friedman (President), Freight Farms offers a unique hydroponic container farm (Leafy Green Machine (LGM)) that yields bountiful harvest of organic lettuces, brassicas, and herbs free from geographical and weather constraints. This agricultural innovation is also equipped with an app that monitors the environmental components of the farm 24/7. Could be a little pricey for one container ($82,000 – $85,000), but this farm in a box is definitely worth a venture to revolutionize urban farming! |
